Metrocentre is monitored by CCTV for safety purposes, monitoring the security of the premises and the prevention and investigation of crime, but you can lend a helping hand too. If you see anything suspicious, please contact 0191 493 0200

Visitors Code of Conduct
We are committed to making your Metrocentre experience as welcoming as possible. With that in mind, we have a few simple house rules that we hope will keep everyone happy.
Here goes...
- Intimidating behaviour of any kind towards other visitors, our staff or our retailers is not acceptable.
- Please ensure any clothing with a hood attached is worn down. Face coverings such as balaclavas or ski masks are not allowed.
- Motor cycle / crash helmets should be removed upon entering the centre.
- Groups of four or more may be challenged and required to disperse.
- Unsociable behaviour, including swearing, shouting or any behaviour that could be detrimental to a family environment is not acceptable.
- Animals are not allowed, unless they’re assistance dogs.
- No ball games.
- The riding or pushing of bikes (including electric bikes), rollerblades, scooters, Heelys or skateboards is not allowed.
- No remote control vehicles or drones are permitted in the centre or externally in centre car parks / service areas.
- Please no running on the malls.
- Shirts / tops and footwear must be worn at all times.
- There is a strict no smoking policy, electronic cigarettes are also not permitted.
- Alcohol is only to be consumed on licensed premises.
- Any act of vandalism towards property belonging to us or our retailers will be dealt with accordingly and the police informed.
- No leafleting, canvassing, conducting third party interviews or surveys unless agreed by centre management first.
- Selling goods without our go-ahead is not allowed anywhere in the mall, car parks or associated areas.
- We do not permit busking in the mall, car parks and associated areas unless agreed in advance by centre management.
And finally...
- Professional filming and photography is not permitted unless authorisation is granted by Centre Management in advance. The use of tripod equipment is not permitted. Please contact 0191 493 0200 for all filming requests.
- Please always keep an eye on any children in your care.
