Title: Duty Manager
Employment Type: Part-time
Hours per Week: 20-40 hours

- Role Overview:
- As Duty Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of a busy venue, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
- You will be responsible for making independent decisions, supervising a team, and ensuring that the facility runs smoothly during your shift.
- This role offers the chance to develop valuable management experience and transferable skills while working in a dynamic and fun environment.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the venue’s daily operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and handle inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are completed efficiently.
- Maintain health and safety standards and perform regular checks.
- Manage and motivate the team, ensuring all staff are trained and following processes.
- Assist with staff scheduling, and arrange cover for absences.
- Support with emergency procedures, as needed.
- Perform First Aid when required.
- Operate tills and handle cash management.
- Take on ad hoc duties as required by management.
- Job Requirements:
- 1 year of customer service experience (required).
- 1 year of management experience (required).
- Confidence in dealing with a variety of customers in a professional manner.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and peak holiday periods (such as Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day).
- Applicants must be over 18 and eligible to work in the UK.
- First Aid qualification is preferred, or willingness to undertake a First Aid course.
- Desirable Experience:
- Previous experience in venue operations or hospitality management.
- Working knowledge of best Health & Safety practices.

Contract Type: Temporary, Seasonal
Contract Length: 7 weeks, starting on 14-11-2024
Expected Hours: 3-4 days per week, with overtime available.
