Peppa Pig Market Opens in Upper Green Mall on 28th November
With Peppa Pig Making Special Appearances and Family Entertainment on Saturday 29th November.
Inspired by Peppa’s iconic “Shopping” episode, Peppa Pig Market is giving families an early glimpse into Peppa’s world ahead of the upcoming attraction opening Spring 2026.
A first for the Northeast, the brightly coloured space combines exclusive merchandise with playful, hands-on experiences - inviting little shoppers to grab a trolley, wander the aisles and head to the checkout just like Peppa and her family.
Peppa Pig Market will remain open throughout the festive season and, once the full immersive attraction opens next year, will become part of the wider PEPPA PIG: Surprise Party experience - while still remaining accessible to all shoppers visiting Metrocentre.
Saturday 29th November: Peppa Pig Appears in Peppa Pig Market
While Peppa Pig Market officially opens its doors on Friday 28th November, the big family celebrations take place on Saturday, when Peppa Pig herself visits Metrocentre for a full day of fun. Queues are expected, and families are encouraged to arrive early.
Saturday’s highlights include:
- Multiple appearances from Peppa Pig throughout the day, giving families plenty of chances to meet her.
- Queue rewards:
- The first 100 people in the queue will receive a special Peppa Pig gift plus additional gift with purchase.
- The first 50 people will also receive a £50 gift voucher to spend on tickets for Peppa Pig: Surprise Party.
- Giveaways and surprise moments taking place across the day.
- A special ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10am, with the first 10 children in the queue invited to help Peppa officially open the store.
- Peppa Pig Activity Station, featuring activity sheets and “colour your own” party hats.
- On-the-day entertainment and extra surprises for young Peppa fans.
Please be advised a queuing system will be in place, and Metrocentre main doors open approximately 30 minutes before opening.
