FOH/OPs Assistant Reports to: Head of Operations and Company Manager, Venue Manager, Deputy Venue Manager Venue Overview: Venues Everywhere are the operators of the brand new immersive experience, Peppa Pig Surprise Party in the Metrocentre, Gateshead and The Traitors: Live Experience in the heart of Covent Garden, London

Job Summary: We are seeking friendly, outgoing, and customer-focused Front of House staff to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on interaction and enjoys talking to children and their families, creating a fun, welcoming, and memorable experience for every visitor. The successful candidate will be responsible for greeting customers (predominantly children) on arrival, checking tickets, and supporting them throughout their journey. This includes, but is not limited to, guiding visitors through the experience, escorting them through the venue at various points, and maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting environment. You will also be expected to actively engage with customers, helping shape their experience from start to finish, and serve customers within the market area. Front of House staff will handle card transactions, support merchandise sales, and confidently interact with visitors to always ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. This is a vital role within the structure of Peppa Pigs Surprise Party and offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and energetic team.

Key Responsibilities «

This role will involve a variety of duties on a rotating schedule. While you will be trained across all areas, you will not be expected to carry out every responsibility on each shift. Flexibility, teamwork, and a positive attitude are essential.

Ticketing:

  • Check and scan tickets upon entry to the venue.
  • Become familiar with electronic ticketing systems and POS devices (full training provided).
  • Act as the first point of contact for guests, delivering a warm, friendly, and engaging welcome.

Pulse Management:

  • Manage the flow of patrons entering the experience in timed groups (“pulses”), ensuring capacity and timing are carefully controlled.
  • Monitor and guide groups throughout the experience, ensuring guests are in the right place at the right time, including coordinating exits.
  • Assist with and resolve any customer queries or complaints in a calm, professional, and helpful manner.

Merchandise:

  • Confidently use POS systems and handle card payments accurately.
  • Monitor and replenish stock levels as needed to maintain availability and presentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and inviting merchandise area
  • Identify and report any stock issues promptly and in line with procedures.

Room Reset:

  • Reset rooms between visits as directed by the creative team, ensuring each space is presented to a high standard for incoming groups.
  • Carry out ongoing cleaning duties throughout shifts, including removing rubbish, wiping surfaces, and emptying bins.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all guests.

Audience Interaction:

  • Deliver a warm, confident, and enthusiastic welcome to all guests, creating excitement from the moment they arrive.
  • Take ownership of onboarding groups, clearly explaining venue rules and guiding them through the experience.
  • Speak confidently to groups, bringing energy and personality to interactions and helping set the tone for an engaging and memorable visit.
  • Demonstrate patience, empathy, and a genuine enjoyment of working with children and their families, ensuring an inclusive and positive experience for all.

Health and Safety / Training

This role may require you to have First Aid at Work and/or Fire Marshal certificates. Should this be required any training will be given. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role, which the company will obtain. All employees will be checked as we work with children. Any training for the role will be given. Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Prior experience in a customer service preferred
  • Prior experience working with young children and families preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Salary: £12.71per hour.

Contract:

  • We are hiring a mix of minimum hour contracts, depending on numbers and schedules.
  • But a minimum shift will need to be guaranteed on both sides.
